Casey Hickox, a 33-year-old nurse from the United States, became popular in just a week. Her name is now on everyone's lips, and her photographs adorn the pages of the most popular publications. But her person is far from a feeling of admiration among the inhabitants of America. The woman was distinguished by the fact that she violated the quarantine terms provided for arriving from the West African region.

According to the law that the authorities introduced in connection with the lightning spread of the Ebola virus, a person who returned from Africa is required to spend at least 21 days in isolation. Despite working in Sierra Leone for several weeks, Casey Hickox refused to self-isolate for three weeks upon her return. Only three days was enough for her to comply with the law and be in quarantine. When her patience snapped, Casey, threatening legal action, managed to leave the isolation ward. After that, the nurse went to her home, in her native state of Maine.

According to the court decision, the woman was obliged not to leave her house for three weeks. But even here, Casey could not stand the imprisonment and was spotted by photojournalists on a bike ride with her boyfriend. Hickox said that until she receives a court order, she will do as she sees fit. Her lawyers emphasize that their ward avoids crowded places, therefore, the accusations against her are not particularly appropriate.
