Сахарная паста для шугаринга или воск для эпиляции: что выбрать

What kind of means girls do not use to say goodbye to excess vegetation under the armpits, on the legs, as well as in the intimate area. These are razors, epilators, creams and even threads. But not all of them are effective. So, after shaving, irritation remains on the skin, and the hairs become stiff. The cream gives short-term results. Removing hair with a thread, like with an epilator, brings severe pain. In addition, the last device often leaves behind ingrown hairs. Therefore, many young ladies resort to more gentle, effective and most ancient means – wax and sugar paste for shugaring. How do they differ from each other? You will find the answer to this question in the material of the Internet publication estet-portal.com.

The Essence of Wasking and Sugar Treatment

To begin with, we will consider what such procedures are. And let's start with vasking. This is a type of hair removal where the hair is removed with sticky wax. This procedure came to us from the Ancient East, where excessive vegetation was considered a sign of bad taste, and smooth skin symbolized aesthetics and excellent taste.

Shugaring is also called Persian hair removal. This method of removing excess hair came to us from the Arab countries, where the traditions of preparing and applying sugar paste for shugaring are still preserved. So, before the wedding, the bride must undergo such a procedure. Sugar hair removal has become widespread in our country, because it is quite affordable and effective.

The principle of action for both procedures is the same: the hairs are glued to the active substance and removed with sharp jerks. This also captures the bulbs.

The difference between waxing and sugaring is that the products are applied and pulled out differently. So, wax is applied to the area to be treated with a special spatula for hair growth, after which a strip is applied on top of the product and after a few seconds it sharply comes off against the growth line.
In shugaring, everything happens a little differently. Here it is quite possible to do without special tools and strips. Properly prepared sugar paste is kneaded with fingers, then applied to the dermis against the hairline, and torn off along the growth line.

After the procedure, the product remains on the skin. The wax is washed off with cosmetic or olive oil, and the sugar mixture – warm water. If irritations appear on the skin, they are removed with a product with salicylic acid. As a preventive measure for ingrown hairs, a week after the procedure, once every 7 days, light scrubbing of those areas where epilation was performed is done.

Wax and sugar paste for shugaring: composition and preparation features

Waxing, as its name implies, is carried out with a mixture, the main component of which is natural beeswax. This product contains vitamin A, which is considered a powerful antioxidant that slows down skin aging. Also, this gift of nature has moisturizing, softening, wound healing and antibacterial properties.

To prepare the mass, the bee product must be cooled slightly in the refrigerator, then grated, melted in a water bath, and then poured into a special jar.

It is desirable to use the mass in a warm form, because it cools down and hardens quite quickly.

As for the sugar paste for shugaring, sugar is the main component here. To prepare the mixture, you need to pour 8 tablespoons of this product into a saucepan, then add 1 tablespoon of hot water and the same amount of citric acid. If the skin is sensitive, the amount of sugar must be increased to 10 tablespoons and add half a tablespoon of aloe juice here. Honey is also an excellent remedy. It moisturizes and softens the skin.

After all the ingredients are in the pan, you need to mix them well and cook the mixture over low heat until it turns out sticky, like caramel. The finished mass for shugaring must be poured into a special jar.

Advantages and disadvantages of hair removal products

Each of the hair removal products has its pros and cons. So, wax is good because:
•    with it, the procedure is carried out quite quickly, since the hairs break out on a large surface of the skin;
•    it captures well both long and short hairs, leaving the skin clean and smooth;
•    after regular use, the hairs become thinner and are subsequently removed with little or no pain.

The disadvantages of beeswax are as follows:
•    high chance of getting burned;
•    severe pain;
•    after the procedure, the hair grows into the skin.

Sugar paste for shugaring has the following advantages:
•    natural – due to the natural composition, it is almost impossible to get allergies or irritations after the procedure;
•    is less painful than wax;
•    removes hairs along with bulbs without creases, so after the procedure there are practically no ingrown hairs;
•    Cleans well with warm water;
•    easy to prepare at home.

Among the disadvantages of the sugar mixture, one can single out that it takes longer to work with it than with wax. And it is not always possible to remove all unwanted hairs. In addition, sugaring is more expensive than waxing.
Now you know the difference between sugar paste and wax. We hope that this information will help you choose the perfect product for yourself, which will rid your body of unwanted vegetation for a long time, and make your skin smooth and beautiful.
