Economists estimate that men aged 38 to 60 spend 63% more on cosmetics! No wonder all cosmetic companies have expanded their product lines with specialized cosmetics for men. The same applies to cosmetic procedures.

A recent study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons shows that in the first half of 2014, cosmetologists, estheticians and plastic surgeons had a record number of male clients. The following procedures became the hits of this season. In the first place - facelift and blepharoplasty. The second place in terms of the number of procedures was shared by liposuction and Botox injections. The third place was taken by reconstructive and plastic surgery of the male genital organs.

The study found that about 1.1 million men had cosmetic procedures last year, a 27% increase from the previous year. Dr. Tanley Lawton, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Newport Beach, California, also notes a similar trend. "In the past 18 months, more men have come to me than since I opened my practice. Here in Orange County, the capital of beautiful people, men feel a certain amount of pressure to look younger and feel better," – says Dr. Lawton.

Cosmetology areas rapidly gaining popularity among men include: facelift (14%), ear reshaping (11%), plasma lifting (7%), contouring and botulinum therapy (up to 9-10%), liposuction (up to 7%) , correction of the genital organs (5%). The fashion for handsome, young and well-groomed men is gaining momentum!
