Why do scars and spots form on face from pimples
In order for a pimple to appear on the face, a combination of two factors is needed: increased production of sebum and a high rate of keratinization of epidermal cells. This leads to the fact that the time is clogged with a mixture of desquamated cells and sebum, oxygen stops flowing into it. In an anaerobic environment, the bacteria propionibacterium acnes immediately begin to multiply, which cause inflammation.
As a rule, it takes the immune system a couple of days to restore order and calm the raging bacteria. But collagen production is disturbed at the site of inflammation, because of this, after healing, a dent sometimes remains on the skin. If you open a pimple, squeeze out the purulent contents with effort, then blood can get into the cavity, which will later form a bluish spot. In addition, the production of melanin begins in the damaged area, which protects skin cells from stress effects. Thanks to him, brown or yellow spots remain on the memory of acne.

How to get rid of pigmentation with cosmetics
Normally, small scars and light spots from pimples on the face disappear over time, but if the damage was significant, then the changes affect the deeper layers of the skin. To get rid of spots, you need, firstly, to start the process of skin cell renewal, and secondly, to ensure that new cells do not have pigment. This will be helped by such components that can be found both in serums and in creams:
-
Vitamin C. Combats pigmentation in a complex way: stimulates the production of collagen and destroys pigment compounds, plus it is a mild exfoliant. A very effective, but at the same time very unstable agent, the vitamin is destroyed by oxygen and light. Choose only products in dark packaging with dispensers.
-
Azelaic acid. Destroys the pigment, penetrates deep into the pores of the skin, prevents the growth of bacteria, and also exfoliates dead skin cells.
-
Arbutin. Inhibits the activity of pigment-synthesizing cells. Effective in combination with drugs that stimulate collagen production.
-
Glycolic Acid. This is an excellent exfoliator that evens out the complexion by resurfacing the top layers of the skin.
-
Niacinamide. Penetrating into the skin, it acts as a kind of barrier for melanin, which is formed in deep layers. It also restores the protective layer of the skin, tightens it, binds free radicals.
It is worth noting separately retinoids, which are considered to be one of the most powerful anti-aging ingredients in cosmetics. Indeed, vitamin A derivatives can work wonders with the skin, they start regeneration processes, brighten even old spots from acne on the face, even out the relief. But capable of this is the most active form of retinol — tretinoin. The rest (retinyl palmitate, retinol, retinaldehyde) must first go through a chain of transformations in order to become the same tretinoin as a result. This significantly reduces their efficiency in low concentrations.
The whole danger is that studies have confirmed the teratogenic effect of tretinoin, and in many countries it is banned as an ingredient in cosmetics. It can be used for the production of pharmaceutical products or preparations for salon procedures, but the treatment should be selected by a specialist. Using tretinoin on its own, as well as any other form of retinol in high concentrations, is unsafe for health.

Traditional medicine: what products will help remove stains
To lighten pigment spots from acne on face, you can use not only professional cosmetics, but and familiar products that are in almost every home. Their effect may not be so pronounced, but to combat light forms of pigmentation, they are quite suitable. Below are the simplest and most effective recipes.
Apple cider vinegar + water (1:1 ratio). Wipe with the resulting "tonic" face 1-2 times day and after 2-4 weeks improvement will be noticeable. Vinegar contains lactic acid, which is a natural exfoliant.
Lactic acid products + chopped parsley. Yogurt, sour cream, kefir also contain acid, which will gently exfoliate the keratinized layer of cells. Plant flavonoids contained in parsley stimulate skin renewal, bind free radicals.
Hydrogen peroxide (3%). Peroxide is best applied pointwise, directly on the stain. Active oxygen destroys intercellular bonds, helps to exfoliate the top layer of cells, stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin.
You need to be patient, spots from pimples on face will go away only after the time it takes for skin cells to completely renew (20-28 days). All this time you need to use sunscreen, as ultraviolet light can reduce no all efforts. To consolidate the result, it is worth reconsidering your care: use exfoliating acid products, choose a good sunscreen, refuse alcohol cleansers, moisturize the skin.
