Japanese gymnastics makko-ho. Origin

Gymnastics is relatively young: she is only 82 years old. It is very popular in Japan and is a kind of set of four stretching exercises. The founder of gymnastics (it is also characterized as stopping aging) is a person who has nothing to do with sports or medicine. In 1933, a very prosperous businessman, Nagai Wataru, faced serious health problems.

Working to the point of wear and tear led to the fact that 42-year-old Nagai had a stroke. He, of course, survived, but the disease turned out to be incurable, and there was no talk of work. The stubborn Japanese did not want to be completely out of work and decided, sitting on the mat and reading the sutras, to perform simple exercises that he could do. Not immediately, but still, Nagai was able to restore his own health, and his body acquired its former flexibility.

Today, gymnastics makko-ho   officially recognized in addition to the homeland in 200 foreign countries. And the growth of fans of this health-improving complex of exercises is only growing everywhere from year to year. And in Japan itself (although makko-ho is considered a set of exercises for older people who are already in dire need of restoring body flexibility), gymnastics is recommended for introduction into the school curriculum.

And there is also a separate Gymnastics for the face. 3-minute lip and cheek exercise

Geishas favorite gymnastics and growth hormone

This set of exercises is often called geisha gymnastics, perhaps because of the well-known long-lasting Japanese beauty and the indispensable attractiveness of the image of the owners of this profession.

Gymnastics contributes to the entry of somatropin into the blood – growth stimulating hormone. More recently, it was considered in fact an indispensable condition for achieving eternal youth, a little later it was completely banned in sports.

Today, it is believed that the release of this hormone favors longevity, improves memory, helps to reduce adipose tissue, while forming muscle more intensively, and also has a positive effect on the immune system.

However, makko-ho should not be associated only with the female body, bearing in mind the special attitude of geisha to this set of exercises. And the massive popularity of gymnastics is explained not only by the improvement of general well-being, the preservation of beauty and health. Makko-ho is also characterized by simplicity and a small number of exercises.

Features of makko-ho gymnastics and rules for its implementation

These exercises can be done at home with a little space available.

Gymnastics has little in common with yoga, but the cardinal difference from it is that in makko-ho it is necessary to focus not on taking a pose in which the exerciser must be a certain amount of time, but on stretching.

The latter is repeated many times to achieve flexibility, and each pose should be held for about 1 minute, after performing 20 & ndash;30 tilts.

To achieve positive results, it is necessary to allocate time every day to perform this gymnastics. It is better to do it in the evening, taking a warm bath or slightly warming up the body with slight tilts to the left–to the right.

It is very important not to overexert yourself and increase the intensity of the stretch gradually, 1 mm daily.
