The etiology of skin eczema is not fully understood, as, indeed, of many other severe skin diseases. But on the other hand, it is precisely established that skin inflammations caused by eczema are very often provoked by psychovegetative disorders. An important role in the exacerbation of skin eczema is played by hormonal failure and weakened immunity. And if skin eczema has already manifested itself, it usually acquires a chronic course and greatly affects the patient's future lifestyle, imposing many restrictions on him in order to reduce skin inflammation.
Causes and common manifestations of skin eczema
Eczema of the skin refers to diseases of an allergic nature. Those who have eczema suffer from one of the relatives are at risk for this disease. Of course, it provokes eczematous inflammation of the skin and poor ecology, and some features of the style of nutrition. The disease has a chronic course with regular relapses, and without treatment, especially in children, it can lead to serious consequences.
Eczema skin has several forms, in which may appear. All of these forms have some common features:
hyperemic, edematous areas of the skin with a weeping surface:
- polymorphism – in one area you can see rashes, and vesicles, and drying crusts, and peeled scaly skin surfaces;
- skin itching.
Different forms of skin eczema
The treatment of skin eczema largely depends on the correct diagnosis of the form and stage of the disease.
True eczema. It has symmetrically located areas of inflammation. Feature of the – the presence of so-called serous wells, when the exudate appears on the inflamed surface of the skin in the form of dew drops. In the center of the hearth – small vesicles in bulk, along the periphery – single large vesicles with serous contents. Skin inflammations begin acutely, retain polymorphism, typical microerosions.
Microbial eczema. The provoking factor is varicose veins, skin injuries. Foci of skin eczema are mainly located on the extremities, often in the projection of the affected vessels. Foci of microbial eczema originate in the folds of the skin with poor hygiene and high sweating. Skin inflammations are uneven bluish spots.
Seborrheic eczema. Lesions are concentrated on the head, around the navel, behind the ears and on the flexion surfaces. Spots with clear outlines and a small-nodular rash in the middle, with serous-purulent crusts, under which weeping can be detected. Painful cracks form in places of natural folds on the bottom.
Occupational eczema. It has an allergic nature and occurs as a response to a constant external irritant – chemicals, dry or very humid air, dust, minor injuries. Clinically manifests as true eczema, but may disappear if the factor that caused it is eliminated. Rashes can be all over the body with their increased concentration in the area of contact with the irritant.
Basic principles for the treatment of skin eczema
First of all, it is necessary to determine the provoking factor that caused skin inflammations, and reduce their impact. Hyposensitizing drugs, antihistamines and sedatives will alleviate the patient's condition. Vitamin therapy is recommended, which accelerates the regeneration of skin cells. In acute manifestations of skin eczema, which are of a generalized nature, the use of corticosteroids is indicated. If the disease has an undulating course of a systemic nature, antihistamines and corticosteroids are prescribed in daily maintenance doses.
Topical use of ointments with antipruritic and anti-inflammatory action, with & nbsp; antiseptic ingredients. A good effect is given by ozone therapy, laser therapy and other physiotherapy. The patient should follow a hypoallergenic diet, use water-based cosmetics and fragrance-free hygiene products.
