Инновационные регенеративные технологии: новый подход к плазмотерапии

The quality of drugs used in aesthetic medicine is determined not only by their effectiveness, but also by their safety. The use of synthetic materials is gradually losing its relevance, substances of autogenous origin are more and more welcome, as they have complete biocompatibility.

In an exclusive interview for estet-portal.com, a cell technology specialist, Ph.D. Pedro Heredia spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of plasma therapy, better known as PRP, as well as its improved version – Endoret (PRGF)-technologies.

What are the disadvantages of PRP therapy, are there alternative solutions

P.E: First, the result of PRP therapy   rather short lived. Secondly, the plasma used in this technology is not purified from white blood cells, which can sometimes lead to undesirable effects.

It's still easier to talk about the merits of PRP therapy than its drawbacks. The material for the manufacture of drugs is the patient's own blood.

In addition, unlike corrective techniques that only mask aesthetic skin defects, PRP therapy initiates regeneration processes, that is, the problem of skin aging is solved "from the inside".

Today, there is a more advanced PRP therapy   this is PRGF technology.

PRP and PRGF   what is the difference between these technologies

PE: The difference is that the plasma used in PRGF technology does not contain white blood cells. After all, as you know, leukocytes   these are the cells of the immune system, their main task   protection of our body. But in this case, the presence of leukocytes in the plasma can contribute to the development of inflammation, swelling, redness and other adverse effects. The regeneration process will take much longer.

According to PRGF technology, the plasma contains growth factors that promote skin regeneration and is completely cleared of leukocytes during the centrifugation process.

The use of plasma, which does not contain leukocytes and is enriched with autogenous growth factors, is called Endoret (PRGF) technology, developed by the Institute of Biotechnology and Regenerative Therapy (Spain).

Tell us about the benefits of using Endoret (PRGF) technology

The fact is that Endoret(PRGF) technology has a very wide range of applications. As I said before, the plasma that is used according to the Endoret technology is not only free of leukocytes, but also enriched with proteins: growth factors and autogenous fibrin.

This contributes to a significant acceleration of tissue regeneration processes. The action of growth factors triggers angiogenesis – a key aspect of skin regeneration.

Due to the use of the patient's own plasma, Endoret technology has virtually no side effects.

Today, Endoret (PRGF) technology is effectively used to improve hair growth, facial skin regeneration, and also in the treatment of acne.

In addition, the Institute of Biotechnology and Regenerative Therapy has developed another new product - Endoret Gel. The innovation is that it can be used as a filler.

At the same time, the introduction of the drug does not just mechanically replenish lost volumes, it stimulates the production of its own hyaluronic acid and collagen, as with classical PRGF. This is really a new word in the field of aesthetic medicine.

It is interesting that this technology was developed back in 1995 specifically for the Spanish royal family, and now it is also available to Ukrainian patients.
