Or personal: starting from household and family, ending with foreign languages ​​and spiritual growth. In addition, many have children at home, who would also do well to keep busy.

Since, indeed, many people need such training, many have decided to do it in quarantine. And here the painful search, choice and doubts began: proposals & nbsp; - ocean! Distance brought us two news: good and bad. The good news is the availability and cheapening of education and knowledge. Today, you can learn a lot even for free, although you still pay for truly valuable content at least with your contact details - this is a new kind of value in a new world.

Bad news – terribly low level of professionalism of teachers and erosion of expertise. It comes to the point of absurdity: a single mother of three children from different fathers teaches how to get married, and a twenty-year-old girl, with bad manners and slurred speech, – how to create a personal brand.

All these things are connected with the fact that the threshold for entering the educational services market is very low, and attracting a potential audience to your course is also inexpensive. And as a result, a crowd of consultants, coaches, experts poured into this market, many of whom only yesterday learned about Goggle Add, and today they are already Digital marketers. And to expect that such "experts" over time it will not be less, looking at the next global recession and unemployment.

Therefore, the question of how to choose a worthy teacher and a course without buying into advertising messages is relevant.

And to answer it, you need to understand that most people are divided into two categories: some can do it, others – learn. Not every football star can become a great coach. And vice versa – amazing choreographers were rarely talented soloists. For to be able to do does not necessarily mean to be able to teach this business. And unfortunately, most often those who do not know how, who have not found themselves in the business, go to teachers, which is the reason for the low level of our teachers at school. These are people who have gone through double natural selection: the first time they did not get into a good university, and the second – when after HSE they didn't find a good job. So, if the goal is to make money with it or become more competitive in the market, the first answer to the question is, who is the ideal teacher? This is a practitioner who knows how to teach. A very rare combination in itself.

But this is not enough! He also needs to WANT to learn. That is, he, firstly, should not have a conflict of interest (otherwise, why, for example, would a successful businessman teach others, including his competitors, the secrets of his success?) And secondly, there should be a motive to teach. If teaching is not the main activity, then there may be several motives. For distribution companies, training – Clearly, this is a service and upselling. For a star speaker - the capitalization of his personal brand, and he is vitally interested in being an active practitioner for developing personal cases, author's techniques and fresh photos, and not constantly singing "old songs about the main thing." For the spiritual master – mission and way not to die of hunger. For billionaires-chernyaks – glory. For companies providing services, the opportunity « plant» for service. A separate and very rare category – high-class master teachers from God, they have a craving and talent for teaching, they cannot live without it and do not risk anything especially, realizing that no one will repeat their skills. Therefore, ask yourself a reasonable question: if he works hard himself, then why does he teach? Where does he get this time from? What does it bring to him personally? It's one thing if these are language teachers, dance teachers, music teachers, fitness trainers, yoga and Pilates trainers who make a living doing this, and you need it not for money, but for life. There, after the first trial lesson, you understand whether it suits you or not. And quite another – business coaches telling you how to make a million by buying his fifty-dollar weekly course. Therefore, the second criterion – you understand why this person is selling training.

But even then, when you have found a teacher who has a practice, it is not superfluous to ask, what kind of experience does he have? What results did you achieve? And how can you get to know it? Because when I see the advertising messages of a consultant: he opened 150 beauty salons, then I immediately have a lot of questions: what kind of salons? And how many of them are alive and working successfully? And why then does this person himself not have a salon, since you are doing it so cool? Why the hell are you looking for clients if you can sit in your salon and cut coupons, how do you say that in training? Or when a fact is cited as expertise - "the author of 15 books on business, management, consulting" hellip; .. ", then this never convinces me. The book is great, but what have you done in practice and with what results? Otherwise, writing your own book – this is a useful skill only if you are doing workshops on the topic: “Write a book in 3 days.”

So  we are looking for the right training very thoughtfully and consciously, and do not stick to beautiful packaging. Having found the right training, we are interested in who the teacher is, what experience he has, how can he be checked? We answer ourselves the question: why is he selling this?

Don't be lazy, go to his social networks, watch his videos, dry him, does his personality and content resonate with you? Look for reviews on the net, see who writes them - everything can be found out now. Prepare and voice your specific questions and situations, see how the answer sounds: with skill or water with water. Do not be shy, speak out your doubts and thoughts & nbsp; - the more preparatory work you do, the greater the chance of success.
