At the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) annual meeting in Montreal, Canada, Canfield, a leader in 2D and 3D medical photography, introduced VECTRA XT 360, a new high-resolution, 'panoramic' image of the human body. With this new feature, the front and back of the image are automatically superimposed, creating a complete 360-degree "wrap image" that allows clinicians and patients to take a fresh look at the structure and aesthetic expression of the patient's body.
During consultations, it can be difficult for doctors to dedicate patients to all the features of the anatomical structure of their body. To do this, they use mirrors and photographs. However, now, thanks to a comprehensive view, the patient himself can see all the shapes, curves and folds, as well as proportions after various procedures. All modeling tools in the VECTRA Body Sculptor® software module can already be used to view the results of body contouring procedures such as abdominoplasty, liposuction and buttock augmentation. They can be used alone or in combination with the Breast Sculptor® module to view the results of a breast augmentation or mastopexy.
VECTRA 360 caused a storm of emotions and positive feedback at the first demonstration.
Dr Scott Ingram, Brisbane, Australia, Plastic Surgeon and President of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (2012-2014) commented: "This is the most amazing thing I've seen at the conference this year. Nothing compares to her".
The VECTRA XT 360 3D Imaging System is a standard feature in software version 5.6. This version is included with all new systems and is provided as a free upgrade for customers with the current version of Canfield Care™.
