Can dermatocosmetologists perform aesthetic gynecology?

I.K.: In fact, this is a very promising direction in aesthetics, and indeed dermatologists and cosmetologists can deal with the correction of the intimate zone.

In my opinion, dermatocosmetologists can only deal with the aesthetics of the external genitalia, namely moisturizing, redermalization, regeneration and whitening of this area.

But the G-spot volumization procedure and other similar procedures, in my opinion, should be performed by gynecologists. If it is necessary to carry out such procedures, I personally prefer to work with a gynecologist, and, of course, only after a thorough examination of the patient.

Without additional examination, we can assess the condition of the external genital organs and perform certain procedures, understanding that we will not harm the patient's body.

And here is the work with the internal genital organs – this is still the work of gynecologists, which should be performed only after a thorough examination of the patient.

How can a specialist offer his patient an intimate correction procedure?

I.K.: Personally, in my practice, most often there are patients who are already well aware of this procedure themselves. They learn about intimate gynecology through mass media or online advertising, and then they ask if I do such procedures.

Besides, literally every second of my patients, after I return from regular congresses or conventions, asks me about what's new in the world of aesthetics.

I tell such patients about aesthetic gynecology, and when I say that I do such procedures – almost 70% of my patients agree to try them and are very satisfied with the results.

What are the most popular procedures for the correction of the intimate area today?

I.K.: For this zone today, hydration, biorevitalization, volumization with hyaluronic acid fillers and PRP therapy are in the TOP. Peelings are not so relevant, this procedure is more interesting for young patients, especially those who are overweight.

As a result of constant friction, hyperpigmentation of the intimate zone occurs in such patients. Peelings are also popular among women who have given birth because they develop hormonal pigmentation. But the patients who are in & nbsp; premenopause or menopause, the most worrying is the loss of volume and elasticity of the tissues, as well as the dryness of the intimate area.

At what age do patients most often turn to you for correction of the intimate area?

I.K.: Of course, most of all aesthetic gynecology procedures are in demand among patients who are in premenopause or menopause.

In addition to the fact that such patients are concerned about the aesthetic side of the issue, they also have a pronounced violation of the quality of life associated with a change in the volume of the tissues of the intimate zone, as well as the occurrence of itching and discomfort during urination, sexual intercourse, and even when walking.

Therefore, among patients of the older age group, correction of the intimate zone is especially in demand.

Will in the future the correction of the intimate area become more popular among male patients?

I.K.: I think so, because men are even more worried about problems in this zone than women.

If male patients are told about our capabilities in the intimate area, and provide quality services – I am sure they will be very interested in them.

But, of course, it should be a joint work with urologists and andrologists, because this is a young industry, and we still do not know how to deal with the complications of intimate correction.

We have an idea of what the complications might be, but we don't have practical experience yet, and therefore, in order not to harm our patients, we must work together with specialists in the relevant field.
