Надежда Крыжановская: anti-aging – это когда пациент приходит к доктору за далеко идущими результатами

Every year, such a direction in medicine as anti-aging becomes more and more discussed, in demand and progressively developing. All people want not only to live as long as possible, but also to maintain a good physical shape and a healthy state of their body. The science of anti-aging is about that. Specially for estet-portal.com, candidate of medical sciences, general practitioner of the highest category and specialist in anti-age medicine Nadezhda Kryzhanovskaya spoke about the most pressing issues regarding slowing down aging. Read useful and interesting information right now.

What does the concept of anti-aging mean to you personally

N.K. Anti-aging literally translates as "anti-aging", that is, the fight against aging. But I prefer the concept of "slowing aging", that is, "slowing down aging", because you have to be realistic: we will have to go through this phase of life, otherwise it will be a shame to part with our young bodies.

You need to go through everything, and in the end crumble to dust and leave – that's the whole point.

I also like not so much the concept of "life-span", that is, "life expectancy", as the concept of "health-span", that is, "the length of time when a person is healthy, and not just alive." . For example, I would not want to live in a post-stroke state, being unable to simply serve myself, I cannot imagine a greater punishment. No matter how good a person looks, how many plastic surgeries he would not have undergone if he is in dementia, or he has severe cardiovascular diseases that do not allow movement, or arthrosis of the joints, which makes the limbs stiff – life is not to his liking. That is why we must clearly understand that we want not just to live, but to live well and happily,

What can we do to slow down aging as much as possible?

N.K. The key thing we can do to slow down aging – it's eating less, moving more and being very positive. Any troubles and even tragedies must be taken philosophically and with wisdom. This is very difficult to learn, but keeping balance and balance is very important. You should not rejoice too much in your victories, just as you should not be very discouraged because of your failures. When we go down this path – the brain does age more slowly. Be sure to be creative and do what you like – it also slows down aging.

The key thing we can do to slow down aging – it's eating less, moving more and being very positive.
You can't skimp on your hobbies and think you want to make a million and you're not up to it right now. You don't know what will happen tomorrow. Maybe doing something in your hobby is the best thing in the world, and all your life you've been doing something completely wrong. In general, anti-aging is completely free. If a person is in good weight, moves, takes care of himself, thinks about what he eats, how much he sleeps, and so on – this is the same routine healthy lifestyle that everyone is bored with, but this is the basis, and additional techniques for slowing down aging can already be layered on it. Unfortunately, there are no immortal people yet, therefore, it must be said that we are still engaged in the medicine of the future. But we are all full of hope that we are doing something that will help to extend the life of a person as much as possible.

How does modern technology help in slowing down aging?

N.K.  Firstly, we now already have the possibility of biomonitoring, that is, we can find out all the information about ourselves, from the genome to ordinary biochemistry. Due to this, we can select drugs that are suitable specifically for our problems, and this greatly increases the effectiveness of any technique. Secondly, there are techniques that stimulate various processes, there are regenerative techniques that help restore lost tissues, there are kinesiotherapy, physiotherapy and other similar techniques. Separately, I want to note that now a large number of nutrition specialists have appeared, who are not even nutritionists, but nutritionists, and understand that it is not the diet itself or the limited diet that is important, but just its variety.

We now have a wealth of knowledge and information to help us achieve results, but it is important to be clear that anti-aging – it's not "I want to look good today".
This is – beautification and services of the beauty world, and true anti-aging – when a patient comes to the doctor  for far-reaching results. That is, he will have to try, this is a daily work, and usually it takes more than one year to change the situation that quickly leads a person in the direction of old age.

What novelties in the field of anti-aging have impressed you the most lately?

N.K.  This is the so-called E-medicine, and in particular technologies that allow real-time remote transmission of biomedical data. This means that my patient can, for example, go skiing, and at the same time my computer will receive information about his health indicators, that is, what is happening with his metabolism, what cardiogram, what level of oxygen in the blood, and so on. Further. And the most important thing is that at this moment I can also go skiing, and my computer itself will scan everything and give the patient the quintessence of recommendations. This is all waiting for us very soon, because technology is developing at a crazy pace. Most likely, communication between the patient and the doctor will be the lot of only privileged doctors and patients. I believe that such E-medicine & ndash; this is a very interesting area for anta-aging, but it requires very clear definition of where the patient can share their personal information, and where they have the right to maintain privacy.
