Causes of anogenital warts
Anogenital warts appear when human papillomavirus, which is transmitted from person to person through sexual contact, enters the body. The main manifestation of the disease – endophytic and exophytic growths localized on the mucous membranes of the external genital organs, on the mucous membrane of the urethra, cervix and vagina in women, as well as growths can appear on the skin and in the perianal region.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) has about 190 types of virus, which differ in different risk of oncogenicity.
