Contour plastic using various facial correction techniques does not always bring the desired results. In especially problematic areas around the mouth and in the corners of the eyes, on the neck and in the decollete it is difficult to achieve the desired rejuvenating result if the skin creases are deep enough. As estet-portal.com found out, Dr. Patrick Mikels managed to find a way to get rid of even the most persistent static wrinkles of different depths. The correction technique proposed by him "Blanching" with Belotero® Soft and Belotero® Balance by Merz Aesthetics was highly commended by an international jury at the annual 2nd Anti-Aging & Beauty Trophy.
International recognition of a special facial correction technique
Dr. Patrick Michels from Switzerland is the winner of the 2nd Anti-Aging & Beauty Trophy in the category "Best clinical case of non-surgical facial rejuvenation".
The international jury highly appreciated the treatment proposed by Dr. Michels this is the filling of wrinkles with superficial injections of hyaluronic acid using the product Belotero® Balance by Merz Aesthetics and using a special injection technique called "Blanching".
"Belotero" Balance is a combination of Swiss technology, French know-how - the famous French Touch, as well as German experience and safety.
"This is a great example of what Europe has to offer!" - said Dr. Mickels at the presentation of his award.
"The Blanching Technique" - a very superficial injection technique for the face, neck and décolleté. Its essence consists in point microinjections in the superficial layer of the dermis. This is called the Blanching Technique because the areas of the skin where the drug has just been injected turn white within 3-5 minutes. This technique only works with Belotero® Balance or Belotero® Soft thanks to the special technology of the Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM), which ensures the complete biointegration of the gel,” explained Dr. Michels.
How the Blanching Technique is Used when correcting the face
Belotero® Dermal Fillers Balance and Belotero® Soft have high cohesiveness combined with low viscosity. These properties allow the use of fillers when applying the superficial injection technique "Blanching".
During intradermal placement of fillers, the skin at the injection sites transiently turns white, which gave the name "Blanching" injection technique.
The needle for intradermal filler injection is placed perpendicular to the skin surface. To make it easier to place the drug, you should stretch the skin with the fingers of the non-dominant hand in the direction perpendicular to the mimic wrinkles.
Injections are carried out in the form of retrograde serial injections, but the Blanching technique allows, if necessary, a combination of techniques to achieve the best result. In the perioral region, where there is little superficial subcutaneous tissue, and it will not be able to sufficiently support the introduced filler, the drug is placed in the form of a layer using fan and linear techniques. Further, the structure of the skin can be effectively restored with a series of injections directly into the wrinkles.
Histological and ultrasound studies have confirmed the reliability and safety of the method of dermal filler implantation. With Belotero® by Merz Aesthetics can effectively correct expression lines and reduce skin laxity. The fillers are stable and well tolerated, provide a natural look to the face, successfully replenish volumes and are stable in use.
