As you know, the hands of — woman business card. But this particular card, unlike others, very quickly loses its proper form. This is due to all sorts of negative factors affecting the delicate skin of the hands. At the same time, there are not so many means in the cosmetic arsenal that could help her recover: you can’t do hand plastic surgery, and you can’t do a lift, although such attempts — unsuccessfully — have been undertaken repeatedly. So it turns out that the most effective and at the same time affordable means is hand care at home. We will try to recall some of its rules today.

Rule #1: Wash your hands with warm water

Everyone knows that hands should be washed not only before dinner. And preferably with soap, otherwise you can get sick: viruses and bacteria attack from all sides. But how? Habitual ones dry the skin, but liquid ones, which contain chemicals, degrease it. Yes, and the effect of water is not the best way reflected in the skin of the hands: from the cold it coarsens, and from the hot — dries.

To avoid all these consequences, follow simple rules.

  • Wash your hands with warm water.
  • Choose mild soaps, you can use baby soaps. Don't use cheap or heavily flavored ones.
  • Dry your hands thoroughly with a towel.
  • After washing, be sure to apply a nourishing cream to your hands.

Rule #2: Apply hand cream twice a day

Catherine II, who carefully monitored her appearance, lubricated her hands with vegetable oil before going to bed, put on cotton mittens and went to bed. According to contemporaries, the hands of the Empress were distinguished by velvety and tenderness.

Such hand care is still applicable today, with the only difference being that cosmetologists advise using Vaseline or glycerin, rubbing which into the skin should be combined with a small hand massage.

During the day, you can use the usual creams, applying them at least twice a day — morning and evening, and owners of dry skin — after each contact with water. In this case, it is good to use hand creams with a therapeutic effect.

When choosing a hand cream, pay attention to its composition: for example, chamomile disinfects, glycerin — softens, aloe — moisturizes.
You can also make your own hand cream.

Rule #3: Pamper your hands with masks and baths

More serious hand care involves the use of masks and all kinds of peelings, that help get rid of the dead skin layer. It is not difficult to do this. It is enough to put your hands in warm water, after adding a few drops of essential oil to it.

Healing baths with the addition of herbal decoctions or saline solutions help soften the skin of the hands.
