Every year all TV channels offer us a lot of Christmas and New Year movies. "And every year on December 31, my friends & hellip;" we watch "The Irony of Fate" and "Wizards", but at the same time we do not forget about Western films. That is why we decided to create a rating of Western Christmas films from different years. And, despite the differences in tastes and preferences, we still succeeded.
Die Hard (1-2 parts) (1988-1990)
Tenth place goes to the first two parts of Die Hard. Of course, this is not exactly a Christmas movie, but the events of both films take place just on Christmas Eve. For fans of action movies, this is a good version of the New Year's Eve movie. Women will obviously want to watch it thanks to the charm of the young Bruce Willis, who, in fact, is a "tough nut".
Exchange leave (2006)
The ninth place is taken by the melodramatic comedy "Exchange Vacation". According to the plot, two girls living on different continents find themselves in similar life situations and get to know each other on the Internet - on a housing exchange website. The girls decide to exchange housing and take a break from their problems. So, one goes to warm California, and the second – in the snowy English countryside. Everything that will happen to them in foreign countries completely occupies your attention while watching.
Love Actually (2003)
Eighth place we gave to another romantic comedy – "Real love". And in this case, the main word is just romantic. After all, the whole point of the pre-holiday stories intersecting in the film is that, be that as it may, this world is ruled by love. A good movie to watch with your loved one.
Welcome, or No Neighbors Entry (2006)
Seventh place is taken by the family comedy "Welcome, or No Neighbors Allowed". A fight between neighbors over the house's Christmas decorations turns into a revelation of the true values of Christmas. The film shows that it is much easier to arrange a war than to live peacefully. Cheerful adventures and a positive ending cannot but evoke a positive and festive mood.
Curly Sue (1991)
The story of orphan Sue and her caregiver Bill comes in sixth place. In the film "Curly Sue" the whole essence of good human relations is revealed. It is well shown that even a swindler with great experience is able to love, and a small child is able to influence the big world.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
Fifth place goes to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. For many, reason enough to watch this film was the fact that Johnny Depp starred in it, and Tim Burton acted as director. But, besides this, the story itself is also charming about the poor, but not envious boy Charlie, who accidentally got into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, was able not only to help his family, but also to Wonka himself. Great movie to watch with kids.
Family for Rent (1997)
The wonderful family romantic comedy "Family for Rent" takes the fourth position in our rating. A story about a rich man who is used to the fact that everything in this life can be bought, about a little girl who saw her guardian angel in the client of this rich man, about her mother and this very client will not leave you indifferent. And if you take into account that all the vicissitudes with them occur on the eve of Christmas, then you are guaranteed a festive mood.
A Present for Christmas (1996)
An unusual incarnation of Schwarzenegger can be seen in the film "A Present for Christmas", which we placed in third place. A film about a busy dad and his forgotten promise to give his son a toy, which turned into a fight for this toy at the last moment before Christmas. It is interesting to see the Terminator in the role of an unlucky father.
A Christmas Carol (2009)
The second place goes to "A Christmas Carol". You can get a real Christmas mood from watching this movie. The amazing fact is that all the main roles in it were played by one magnificent actor – Jim Carrey. This film is a must-see for the whole family.
Home Alone (parts 1-2) (1990-1992)
The unconditional first place goes to the film "Home Alone". And at once both parts with the participation of McCalley Culkin. This is a wonderful family film about a boy who is lost by his large and friendly family for two years in a row at Christmas. And if in the first part they forget him at home, then in the second part he himself gets lost at the airport and flies to another city. The adventures of little smart Kevin do not leave indifferent neither children nor adults.
