Among other things, due to the consumption of foods containing trans fats , the level of the male hormone testosterone decreases, which in turn provokes female-type obesity and a decrease in erectile function.

According to research from the Harvard School of Public Health, even in small amounts of trans fat (2% of total calories), there is a risk of developing coronary heart disease.

Trans fats in foods: where is the danger?

Bad fats are found in abundance in the following foods:

Margarine. This is the first product that was obtained on the basis of hydrogen transmission technology, which made it possible to solidify liquid vegetable oil. Soft margarine contains from 0.1 – up to 17% bad fats in margarine for baking – 20-40%, in the spread – 1.5-6%.

Potato chips. The snack beloved by many actually poses a serious danger to human health. So, trans fats in the product are contained in an amount of 3 or more grams per small pack of chips. In this regard, instead of chips, it is better to wear nuts.

Crackers. At first glance, crackers seem harmless enough, but in reality they are not. Often this particular product contains a lot of bad fats, so you should always read the ingredients before buying.

Some cereal mixes for quick breakfasts. Many people are attracted by the bright packaging and good advertising of such products, but few people realize that cereal mixtures contain trans fats. The same goes for many "protein bars" that are advertised as "healthy". A healthier and healthier breakfast would be regular oatmeal or muesli.

French fries. Just one average serving of this dish can contain 8 grams of trans fat! This figure is critical, because the amount of bad fats consumed per day should not exceed 4 g.

Frozen products. Naturally, these meals take much less time to prepare, but these foods are often high in bad fats.

Pie. It is always a pleasure to enjoy these confectionery products, and, as a rule, no one stops at the first cake. At the same time, 3 cakes can contain as much as 3 grams of bad fats. The mixtures used to make cakes, muffins and croissants are usually loaded with trans fats.
