Diet and crab sticks: calories and composition of the product

To make the crab stick tasty and juicy, water, flavoring additives, structure-forming elements (starch, thickeners) are added to surimi. Theoretically, there is nothing harmful in a properly prepared, real stick, on the contrary. Fat-free minced  meat of white fish — nutritious, low-calorie product, rich in useful microelements and vitamins. Salt, sugar, butter and  flavorings are present in  minimum quantities, mostly crab sticks — it's minced fish and water.

Those who are on a diet can safely include crab sticks in their diet: the calorie content of this product — 73-80 Kcal / 100 gr., glycemic index — 40 units. But, once again, we pay attention, we are talking about real crab sticks, which are made from minced fish. The range is now large, but in fact, high-quality crab sticks — rarity. Choose those where as part of "surimi" or «minced fish» listed in the  first place. And don't save money, this product is never cheap.

What dishes to cook with crab sticks

So, the crab sticks themselves, whose calorie content is low, are not harmful to the figure. And here are the traditional ways cooking — And how.
