Лечение верхних и нижних зубов, которые не болят: зачем это нужно

Today, every person has access to information about dental diseases, their treatment and prevention methods. But despite this, it is still a common misconception that if the teeth don   —— they are healthy. Such a mistake can be very expensive: turning to a dentist with complaints of a toothache, a person learns that the tooth cannot be saved, or that treatment will require a lot of time and serious financial investments.

But the situation is made even more frustrating by the fact that it could prevent easily. All you need — know that treatment of the upper teeth or teeth in the lower jaw may be necessary even before they begin to hurt.

Treatment of the upper teeth: what what to look for

Although dental disease occurs in the same manner in both jaws, the upper teeth have "specific" problems.

First of all, this concerns the loads that fall on the upper incisors. It is they who take the main part in biting off hard food (apples, crackers and other products). As a result, cracks and small chips often form on the enamel of the upper front teeth, which facilitate the development of caries. This is due to the fact that even microscopic damage in the  "protective" layer become areas of increased vulnerability: in such areas plaque is more easily fixed, which forms a breeding ground for caries-forming bacteria.

Another risk factor — whitening procedures that are most intensively carried out on upper teeth. It is they who form the so-called "smile zone"; and, accordingly, maximum attention is paid to their clarification. With frequent or unprofessional bleaching, structural changes may occur in the enamel — this tissue becomes loose and vulnerable to any irritating factors (heat, cold, acids, alkalis).

Therefore, if your diet regularly contains hard foods, or you whiten your teeth at home, it is important to have regular preventive examinations with a dentist. With the help of a special lighting device, the doctor can identify even the most minor damage to the enamel and prescribe the appropriate treatment. It can be both remineralizing therapy, which restores the density and structure of the enamel, and restoration methods, in which damaged areas are filled with special materials.

Treatment of lower teeth: when to see a doctor

For the teeth of the lower jaw, periodontal diseases are more characteristic. This is a musculoskeletal apparatus that provides a strong fixation of the teeth and at the same time their physiological mobility (in a kind of "shock absorption").

Problems with periodontium arise in connection with the peculiarity of the blood supply to the soft tissues of the lower jaw, and with more "weak" roots of the lower incisors. It is the front lower teeth that are most often the first to show signs of periodontitis or periodontal disease.

Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the following symptoms indicating possible periodontal problems:

  • Reduction in the height of the gums adjacent to lower incisors.

  • Bleeding of the lower gums.

  • Any changes in the gums of the lower jaw (swelling, pallor, friability, itching).

  • Increased sensitivity of the lower teeth to heat, cold, sour or sweet foods.

If even one of the  listed symptoms appears, you should consult a doctor — Periodontal disease can only be fully cured in its initial stages.

Treating your teeth if they don't ache: universal tips

Dentists recommend not ignoring routine checkups and even making them more frequent (not 1 every six months, but 1 time 3-4 months), if you:

  • Crowding of teeth or malocclusion is observed. In the first case, it is almost impossible to completely remove plaque even with the most thorough oral hygiene, which increases the likelihood of caries. In case of malocclusion, increased enamel abrasion is observed in  ;zone with the greatest load, and periodontal disease in the least "loaded" site.

  • Complicated family history. The hereditary causes of many dental diseases are no longer in doubt. Therefore, if your parents have or had problems with teeth or gums — you are in risk of development of diseases.

  • Any change in enamel is observed. This may be a matte spot where the enamel becomes chalky, uneven, darkened or discolored.

And most importantly, remember that pain is the last "call" indicating far-reaching problems with teeth. You don't need to wait for such signals — treatment of a dental disease will be cheaper for your nerves and for your wallet if you pay attention to the first symptoms.
