Everyday failures, which individually do not seem to represent any serious problems, accumulate like a snowball, form a load that does not allow you to relax and enjoy life, filling all your thoughts. In this state, a person loses the desire to move on, any attempts to change something seem meaningless to him, and everything around appears in gray tones. It can sometimes be very difficult to get out of such a depressive state, but there is a way that can help you become happier and love life again.

There are times in life when we just feel bad. Not necessarily as a result of something bad happening,  just some set of circumstances  makes us vulnerable  sensitive. It happens to everyone, no matter how sparkling and energetic you are. Of course, you can just sit and wait out this dark period of your life.

And you can take the reins in your own hands and do something to change the course of life in a positive direction.

1. Take a break

One of the first things to do when you're feeling really bad – press pause. Here and now, at this very point in your life, in fact, there is nothing more important than your psychological state and feeling of happiness. If you are not in the best spot,  just take this moment for yourself and put everything else aside.

2. Be in a positive environment

When you're in such a vulnerable  state, it's  important to be surrounded by people who love and trust you. Being among those who help you forget your anxieties and worries is therapeutic in itself and helps to become happier. This  automatically  uplifts your mood and is a powerful source of energy, so necessary for you to realize new opportunities that appear on your way.

3. Laugh!

Watch a good comedy – even if in your condition you prefer a tragic love story,  watch a good comedy  to lift your spirits.  Believe me, laughter – even over something minor  like a comedy  will make you feel much better. Numerous experiments have proven that even a forced, "pasted" smile & nbsp; makes a person happier. Force yourself to laugh until you start laughing heartily!

4. Reflect what is happening

If you are not happy with where you are in your life,  try to mentally step aside, "to the hill", and  look at your actions from a distance,  as the actions of an outsider, but a person you know well.  It is possible that you need to re-evaluate your achievements, change and re-adjust your life goals.  This is a long and difficult job. But if, having done it, you will gain guidance and be a much more harmonious and happy person – so be it!

5. Stop doing things that make you unhappy

If you feel that what you are doing now is upsetting you or stealing your life energy for a long period, there is no point in continuing to waste your life in this way. Quit your "poisonous" friends, quit a job you hate, and leave behind you everything that made you unhappy.

6. Become aware of the resources you have

A person has a huge amount of resources – energy, material, physical, personal, social. Some of them you use constantly, and something you neglect. Try to realize  the variety of resources available to you and appreciate the wealth that you own. Dream. Meditate. It is during such purifying periods of consciousness that insights illuminate a person. You will be able to take a fresh look at the problems you are facing and suddenly realize the availability of solutions. Because only the awareness of resources and the willingness to use them  are a necessary condition for successfully overcoming  any life difficulties.

7. Make others happy

Even if you feel so insignificant to yourself that you cannot solve your own problems, let alone help others, try to support those around you as much as you can. Give happiness to others – mutually beneficial business. After all, the more we do for others, the better we think of ourselves, the stronger and more significant – and therefore happier! – we become. Ultimately,  no matter how trite it may sound, our happiness depends only on us. It's just a matter of seeing things in the right perspective and changing your attitude towards yourself and life.  Even if at this particular moment you do not see it and do not realize it, your happiness – it is a choice that you make and how soon you will become happier depends only on you.
