Тесты на беременность: какой лучше выбрать

Every girl has to deal with a pregnancy test, but before you go to the pharmacy, you should figure out how they differ. Now there are a huge number of options, from ordinary strips to reusable digital devices, from which data can be read through a computer. But which pregnancy test to choose and what is the probability that it will not deceive? After all, you always want to know for sure, regardless of whether pregnancy is desired or not. Of course, the most accurate way – go to the doctor, but this is not always possible. Therefore, estet-portal.com will talk about how to buy the test correctly as another of the many tips for expectant mothers and fathers.

Pros and cons of different types of tests

Sometimes the first signs of pregnancy before the delay of menstruation are manifested, for example, by unusual behavior of the body: nausea, drowsiness, decreased pressure and irritability. To find out if this is pregnancy or just poisoning, women go to the pharmacy for a pregnancy test. But which one to choose? To answer this question, you need to know what they are and how they differ.

1.    Test strip, the most common type of diagnosis. It consists of strips impregnated with a special reagent, most often made of thick paper.
Among the pluses:
•    Accessibility – strips are sold at any pharmacy;
•    they are not expensive at all.
And, probably, this is its only plus.
The list of disadvantages is a bit longer:
•    high probability of error, it is enough to keep the strip in the urine a little longer than it should be – and the test can be considered invalid;
•    low level of comfort, since for the test it is necessary to collect morning urine in a clean container.

2.    Tablet test. The reagent strip is in a plastic container and the result is displayed on a small screen.

Pros:
•    only one drop of liquid is needed for the test;
•    more accurate data, since it cannot be overexposed or loaded incorrectly;
Cons:
•    in order to pipette a drop of urine, it still needs to be collected in a clean container, which makes the procedure not very comfortable.

3.    The inkjet test, as the name suggests, allows you to get a result by simply substituting it under a stream of urine.

Benefits:
•    can be used at any time of the day, not just in the morning;
•    sensitive;
•    low chance of error;
•    more comfortable, since there is no need to collect urine.
Among the disadvantages, it is worth highlighting the price, as it grows noticeably compared to previous options.

4.    Reusable. Among the disadvantages of this pregnancy test, probably, is also only the price.

But there are many pluses:
•    high accuracy of the result – up to 99%;
•    replaceable cartridges, so the test can be used more than once;
•    the ability to connect to a computer via a USB connector.

There are many diagnostic options: classic strips, as well as inkjet, tablet and reusable electronic tests. They differ in the accuracy of the result, the comfort of use and the price.

Decoding the result of the pregnancy test

It would seem that there is something incomprehensible? – Two stripes mean pregnancy, one – her absence. But what if there are no stripes at all?

Sometimes the result can be unexpected and there are two reasons for this:

•    defective products;
•    Incorrect use of a pregnancy test.

In the first case, most often there is not a single strip. If the instructions are not followed or the test is overexposed in liquid, the second strip may be slightly highlighted. Any of these situations – reason for re-procedure.

When and why do pregnancy tests lie

There are exceptions to all rules, which means that the two bars – do not always mean what we mean by them. There is a so-called "false pregnancy". It does not occur often, it can be diagnosed with hormonal failures and in women who treat infertility with drugs with hCG.

The same goes for a negative test result. Pregnant women may not get a second line if:

•    not sufficiently concentrated urine as a result of drinking a large volume of liquid shortly before testing;
•    too little concentration of hCG in the urine in the first days after conception.

Tests may show erroneous data. There may be no stripes if the product is defective.
Weakly developed second strip – a sign that the test was used inconsistently with the instructions. Two strips may appear in women who are treating infertility, and one – in pregnant women in the first days after conception or after a large amount of water drunk, reducing the concentration of urine.

There are a lot of pregnancy tests – they differ from each other mainly in price and accuracy of the result. The most budget option – classic stripes, which, unfortunately, have many flaws. With a probability of 99%, the result is shown by reusable tests with replaceable cartridges, but their cost is much higher.
Unfortunately, these diagnostic options are not perfect and can be deceiving. The reason for this are many factors: from improper use to hormonal disruptions.
