It was found that patients who drank milk had elevated levels of beta-casomorphin-7 or BCM7, as well as its derivatives, in urine and blood. It appears as a result of the digestion of beta-casein type A1. It has been proven that a decrease in BCM7 in the blood leads to a decrease in the intensity of symptoms of schizophrenia and autism. This is due to the fact that this substance penetrates into those brain structures that are directly related to the pathogenesis of these diseases – and are negatively affected.

If a patient with autism or schizophrenia follows a dairy-free diet, then the symptoms of the disease soften, he feels better. The level of BCM7 is reduced. However, additional studies have shown that beta-casomorphin-7 is only released from type A1 casein, not A2. And in this case we are talking about different types of milk, from which A2 can be drunk by patients with autism and schizophrenia. Next, we will explain the difference between them.
