Due to the intense heat, the blood vessels expand greatly, excessive sweating occurs, which causes the loss of a large amount of moisture. All these processes provoke drying of the skin, therefore, in the summer, one use of moisturizers that regulate sebum secretion is not enough. To cool off in the heat, you should use proven methods that will help you always feel great, despite the temperature. Learn how to fight heat and improve your skin while keeping your body warm and hydrated.
In order to properly refresh yourself in the heat, it is important to follow the following rules:
Do not overuse cold showers. A worthy replacement for this is a contrast shower, which normalizes heat transfer and has a beneficial effect on the skin, increasing its elasticity. Start taking a contrast shower, alternating warm and cool water for 1 minute. When you start showering regularly, after 10 days you can change the water to the count of 5.
Do not get carried away with cold wraps. Cooling in this way, you run the risk of becoming a hostage to diseases of the genitourinary system.
Do not overdo it with cooling creams and lotions containing menthol and camphor. When used in high doses, these products cause skin inflammation and allergies.
Switch away from carbonated and sugary drinks, and instead prepare special refreshing drinks that will help you really cool off in the heat.
How to fight heat with water
- wash your face with water and chilled green tea in a ratio of 3:1. This mixture is more refreshing than plain water;
- Keep a plastic water bottle in the refrigerator. Use it as a foot massager – roll it in your footsteps for 5-10 minutes;
- instead of thermal water, try using rose water – it perfectly tones and moisturizes the skin. Fill a spray bottle with rose water and use it whenever you want to cool off in the heat;
- A warm bath with the addition of ordinary table salt and half a glass of ground oatmeal flakes will help normalize sweating;
- in a blender, chop two or three cucumbers and mix them well with a cup of white clay diluted with water. This mixture should be applied all over the body and left to dry and washed off with a cool shower. Cucumber perfectly cools the skin and helps to refresh in the heat, while clay tightens pores.
Instead of a body cream, use a mixture of oils after your shower: a cup of olive oil and 1 teaspoon each of lavender, orange and grapefruit. Such a mixture will help to cool off in the heat.
