Липофилинг грудных желез: современный способ получить красивую грудь

Breast augmentation surgery has long become commonplace. A variety of augmentation mammoplasty techniques and different sizes and shapes of implants allowed any woman to get the bust of her dreams.

But relatively recently, plastic surgeons have begun to offer an alternative to such an operation — breast lipofilling, or breast augmentation with the help of the patient's own subcutaneous fat.

Breast lipofilling: features of the method

For this procedure, first of all, subcutaneous fat is taken. The most suitable areas — abdomen and  buttocks. It is in these zones that fatty tissue most fully corresponds to the goals of the operation: to create additional volume of the mammary glands, to form even contours and preserve the natural softness and elasticity of the breast.

For the sampling of fatty tissue, small incisions about 5 mm long are used, into which a thin tube is inserted. Through it, a special solution is injected into the subcutaneous fat, making the fat liquid. Then, with the help of a vacuum, the fat is sucked off and goes on to processing, during which excess fluid and non-fat cells are removed from it. After that, the fat is ready to be injected into the mammary glands.

Depending on the of situation, the operation may take from 1 to 2 hours. Lipofilling is performed under general anesthesia, which requires a mandatory preoperative examination, including consultation with an anesthesiologist, ECG, fluorography, blood tests for sugar and blood clotting. In addition, a mammography and  examination by a mammologist, who must give an opinion on the state of health of the mammary glands.

Advantages and disadvantages of breast lipofilling

Like any other procedure, lipofilling has its strengths and weaknesses.

The benefits of this operation include:

  • Zero risks of tissue rejection. Breast augmentation and/or reshaping uses the patient's own adipose tissue, eliminating unwanted immune responses, as sometimes happens with artificial materials.

  • Naturality of the result. This aspect of women who have undergone lipofilling is noted in the first place. Adipose tissue provides natural elasticity and softness of the mammary glands, therefore, after the completion of the recovery period, the breast looks and feels exactly the same as before  — discomfort or feeling of "alienity" does occur neither in the woman herself, nor her   partner.

  • Short recovery period. Compared to traditional mammoplasty, lipofilling does not require serious tissue trauma. All manipulations are carried out through small incisions and punctures in the skin, which minimizes the likelihood of bleeding, scarring and other negative consequences. Accordingly, the absence of significant damage to soft tissues allows you to recover faster and return to normal life.

But before giving preference to lipofilling, and not traditional breast augmentation surgery, some nuances should be taken into account:

  • Lipofilling allows you to enlarge the mammary glands only with a successful "coincidence" — high skin tone, absence of ptosis and a sufficient amount of subcutaneous fat in the abdomen and buttocks.

  • Breast augmentation will require several procedures: in the course of one operation, no more than 100 ml of adipose tissue can be transplanted. Accordingly, this manipulation may be required 2-3 times or more at certain intervals. The number of treatments depends on what breast size should result.

  • Fat transplantation is only possible in  the upper part of the mammary glands, therefore, correct the height of the breast or make its base more voluminous (which is important for tubular breasts) — not possible.

  • Lipofilling is more relevant for eliminating breast asymmetry and correction of its shape within certain limits — a significant increase in size, a radical change in shape or elimination of ptosis cannot be achieved.
