Each of us is familiar with laziness. This is the time when you don’t want to do anything, you want to be inactive, when there is no strength and energy. But in each particular case, different laziness manifests itself, and it can have several reasons for its occurrence. Why does laziness occur?
There are several types of laziness:
- laziness arising from fatigue, emotional or physical. Very often we harness ourselves to a frantic pace of life: we work hard, take on a huge number of responsibilities and obligations, and at the same time have very little rest. Our body begins to take care of us, signaling that it's time to rest. Then this kind of laziness arises. You should not punish yourself, it is better to listen to the requirements of your body and take a break, how to relax. This type of laziness is most often subject to workaholics;
- laziness, which arose against the background of weak motivation. In order to do something, you need to know why we do it and what benefits it will bring. If we do not have a clear idea of the result, laziness appears, and we cannot force ourselves to act, we move away from any kind of activity. An example of such laziness is the unwillingness to study at school or college. The prospect of a successful smart life is already very vague, and there is simply not enough strength to study at the request of parents and teachers;
- laziness, which is based on self-doubt or perfectionism. In the first case, the fear of mistakes and failures prevents you from actively moving towards the goal. In the second case, the desire to do everything perfectly, perfectly fetters any attempts at activity. In both the first and second cases, inaction is perceived as laziness;
- laziness as a defense mechanism. Very often, laziness protects against some frightening or anxiety-provoking situations (of course, on an unconscious level). So, for example, a person constantly complains about being overweight, but at the same time does nothing to lose weight. “Just lazy,” he says. But what will actually happen if you remove the protection called "laziness"? A person will lose weight, become prettier, begin to attract the attention of the opposite sex, perhaps he will start a relationship. And this is what he really fears. After all, relationships must be built, it is necessary to work on their preservation and development, but a person does not know how and is afraid of this. Fear is a frustrating feeling. And if you do not understand the essence of the problem, it may seem that a person is simply too lazy to take care of himself.
These are one of the many answers to the question why it arises, and each person has his own, individual reasons for laziness. Therefore, do not rush to call someone a lazy person, it is better to help deal with the underlying causes of this laziness. And sometimes just enjoy this state, but don't get carried away!
