Sex with menopause: enjoy

Секс при климаксе: получите удовольствие

Climax is a problem that affects both women and men. Moreover, the menopause affects the sexual life of women much less than the opportunities in terms of sex in men. But for some reason, it is women with the advent of menopause who refuse intimate relationships. Therefore, today Estet-portal decided to deal with this and understand what will allow women not to give up sex.

Psychological aspect of the problem of sex in menopause

From a psychological point of view, this is understandable, because during this period of life, a huge number of restraining factors associated with caring for small children or the fear of unwanted pregnancy disappear. Especially among successful women, who by this period of life received not only a material condition, but also a well-groomed body. After all, it is known that if a woman of mature (climacteric) age goes in for sports, especially in areas related to sprains (yoga, Pilates, etc.), then physiologically her sexual desire (libido) can even increase.

The first symptoms of menopause in women

If in adulthood you feel a decrease or lack of sexual desire, then the reason for this is likely to be prejudices and a decrease in the emotional background due to hormonal changes. The psychological aspect of this problem has more to do with the fact that women, looking at themselves in the mirror, consider themselves less attractive.

Many of them did not consider themselves beautiful even at a younger age, and during this period they begin to compare their appearance with younger representatives of their sex. The problem really exists when women stop seeing men around them as attractive partners. Women's sexuality differs from men's in greater psychology, and the psychological component will play a major role in intimate relationships.

The physiological aspect of the problem of sex in menopause

As women enter adulthood, estrogen levels decrease, which slows down blood circulation in the pelvic area. Estrogens do not perform the function of growth stimulants and, as a result, cell renewal also slows down.

Because of a more passive lifestyle, not only stagnation in the pelvic area occurs, the size and elasticity of the vagina and uterus also change. A decrease in the elasticity of the vagina and changes in the mucous membrane can bring a number of unpleasant sensations during intimacy. If you are faced with the problem of insufficient moisture (dryness) of the vagina, burning, pain, you should not endure it or refuse pleasures. Indeed, sensitivity decreases in menopause, but this only means that now you will have to spend more time to prepare the vagina for intercourse.

Reducing the level of estrogen leads to a change in the pH of the environment of the vaginal mucosa. There is a shift towards an alkaline environment. This fact reduces the protective function and makes the mucosa more susceptible to fungal and bacterial flora. At the same time, the natural flora of the vagina is suppressed.

10 benefits of marital sex

Insufficient vaginal hydration can be not only a symptom of physiological aging, but also a symptom of many diseases of the endocrine (diabetes mellitus, etc.) and nervous system, especially with a symptom of chronic fatigue.

All of these difficulties can change the attitude towards sex and in the end force them to give it up, but why? At the present stage of development of medicine and the pharmaceutical industry, this is clearly not worth doing!

How to solve problems related to sex during menopause

We have prepared for you some tips that will help you enjoy sex during menopause. Here they are:

  1. Continuing sexual relations in the menopause will improve microcirculation in the genital area, help keep the vagina in good shape, which will slow down atrophic processes and normalize its microflora.

2. The climax does not come suddenly. As soon as you notice that there are changes in the monthly cycle, immediately go to the gynecologist-endocrinologist, who will prescribe hormonal therapy, which may include taking contraceptives. This is necessary not to protect you from unwanted pregnancy (which is very common at this age), but to prolong the reproductive period. Small doses of hormones in these preparations will prolong your youth.

If the monthly cycle undergoes significant changes, it is necessary to switch to hormone replacement therapy (HRT). This therapy uses drugs that can be taken as tablets or applied externally. Women begin to feel the results of this therapy a few weeks after starting it. The main factor that stops people from taking drugs is the myth about weight gain when taking HRT. Do not deceive yourself and deprive yourself of pleasure!

Also, don't forget to use vaginal moisturizers (lubricants). These are not hormonal drugs, which can be both water-based and fat-based. You can learn more about them from this article .

3. Fitness. Go in for sports, even if you have never done them before. Now it's not too late, and you will succeed. Trainers will be able to advise you on which exercises will be most suitable depending on your figure and the state of the cardiovascular system.

The book "Yoga of a Mature Woman. A Unique Alternative to Hormone Therapy" describes sets of exercises that will help maintain your health and improve your quality of life. If you are embarrassed to go to the gym, then start with a book.

4. Proper nutrition. Change your traditional habits, reduce meat consumption. Try eating lighter foods that contain phytoestrogens. You can get acquainted with products that increase sexual desire in the article How to increase libido.

So in order not to give up sex in adulthood, you need to follow the doctor's recommendations and follow the prescribed hormone therapy, do not sit still, give preference to sports and healthy eating. And love for yourself and the right psychological attitude will allow you to enjoy a full life.

In order to get closer to perfection, you need to work on yourself. It is important to do it correctly. How to set goals correctly, working on yourself so that you don’t give up? How to reward yourself for achievements? What is a "mental diet"? Watch and learn:
