It is worth considering one nuance – there is nothing in common between the oxidizing and alkalizing effects of foods on the body and the real Ph of the food itself. For example, lemons are very acidic, but at the same time, the end products they produce after digestion and assimilation are saturated with alkalis. The citric acid found in citrus fruits has an alkalizing effect.

Meat contains a sufficient amount of alkali, but after the digestion process, an acidic residue remains in the body. Thus, almost all products of animal origin oxidize the body.

The easiest way to regulate the acid-base balance is by lowering the acidity – drink water with lemon and lime. To  to maintain health, you should start every day with one or two glasses of such a drink.
