Свойства характера человека, которые говорят о психических расстройствах

In our view, a mentally ill person — this is someone gloomy, withdrawn & nbsp; and, in general, very suspicious. And  many don't even realize that mental problems can manifest themselves from completely unexpected sides. For example, a colleague you've always considered a bore may actually suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder, and a friend who is lazy or always late may turn out to be an antisocial person.

So, what properties of a person's character can tell more than you think.

Dubious properties of a person's character: what what to look for

The character traits that accompany mental disorders can be listed endlessly. But we will focus on the most common — the ones that you may encounter on a daily basis.

Suspicion — first hint of paranoia

A person who constantly seeks out (and finds!) symptoms of dangerous diseases in himself; seeing in ordinary things and events "signs from above", pointing to approaching misfortune; discovering hidden motives in someone's actions — it is the first candidate for paranoid personality disorder. Additional symptoms are frequent and unreasonable resentment against others, accusations of others in your own failures, and a pathological lack of a sense of humor.

Expressive — "hello" from hysteria

Your colleague or friend can't even talk calmly about a clogged kitchen sink, and tells you about this event, rolling her eyes, actively gesticulating, using turns «It almost killed me», « I ready to kill the plumber  — you may be dealing with hysterical personality disorder. If, in addition, this person often changes friends and sexual partners, he is characterized by spontaneous expenses (went for bread, and bought a bicycle) — this makes hysteria the most likely cause of this behaviour.

Unpunctuality as a symbol of passive aggression

A person who is late everywhere and may do so because of the habit of procrastinating everything until later. It's not just laziness or lack of willpower — such a trait may be one of the hallmarks of passive-aggressive personality disorder. It is also complemented by the rejection of someone else's opinion (a person gets annoyed when he points out his mistake or mistake), an extremely negative judgment about others (especially if they occupy a higher social position).

Falsehood is sometimes associated with asociality

You arranged with a the movie movie but at the last minute she calls with the terrible news that her distant relative, whom you have heard for the first time, has died. And last time it was a cat that climbed onto the adjacent balcony. And subsequently, by some signs, you understand that your friend lied. This is a clear sign of antisocial disorder, which makes a person try to find his place among people (for example, go to the cinema with you), but as soon as he is given such a chance — get scared and use ridiculous contrived circumstances just to stay at home.

Shy — schizoid partner

Shy people seem nice and vulnerable. But when shyness — one of the symptoms of schizoid personality disorder, she becomes annoying. Such a person does not just shy away when trying to praise him — he doesn't really seem to notice his accomplishments. And  may not react at all to criticism, as if he had resigned himself to the fact that —    complete nothingness. But in fact people with schizoid disorder have too limited an emotional spectrum that allows       experience nor express their feelings.

Perfectionism as a sign of an affective disorder

We and at the same time envy people with   "A student syndrome" and pity them — they are capable of much, but at what cost... In fact, striving to achieve perfection in everything may indicate an affective personality disorder, in which a person becomes obsessed with an idea. It can be an overwhelming need to make sure that the stationery on the table is in a certain order, or constant handwashing in the care of microbial safety, or something else. But  such a need always makes others think that a perfectionist himself is not happy with his perfection.

Naroticism — companion of narcissistic disorder

Such people don allow even the thought of that they might dislike or annoy. Without remorse, they put the last cake from the common dish on their plate, squeeze through the line to the checkout window and inform you without any delicacy that they didn’t like your housewarming gift. We call these people narcissists, and we are often right. What at first glance seems to be bad manners and shamelessness, may be a narcissistic personality disorder that completely deprives a person of the ability to critical thinking.

Properties of a person's character: is should rush to conclusions

Of course, the listed character traits do not necessarily indicate mental disorders. And if a person constantly lies to you — he may be just a liar, and a friend or colleague who is always late — just an egoist who doesn think about making someone wait.

But still take a closer look         of your colleagues and loved ones: perhaps the traits that you love or hate  —         this is a wake-up call that you need to hear in time and ask for help.
