The harm of energy drinks: why they should be abandoned

Energy drinks have a powerful effect on the human body. Until  2009, several countries (for example, France, Denmark, Norway) banned them to free sale. It was possible to buy tonics only in a pharmacy, since they were considered medicines, they were used strictly dosed, ideally — on recommendation of a doctor.

Energy influences all organs and systems:

  • Raise blood pressure. It is unsafe, and hypertensive patients are strictly prohibited.

  • Increase blood sugar levels. This leads to dysfunction of the endocrine glands.

  • Reduce the overall tone. Energy drinks give only a short-term burst of energy, and then a decline sets in. This manifests itself in the form of irritability, weakness, depression, insomnia, increased fatigue.

  • Deplete the nervous system.Drinks do not add strength, they simply provoke the body to additional energy consumption.

  • Cause palpitations and tremors. Deficiency of B vitamins depresses the functions of the nervous system, but excess is not better. Overdose leads to & nbsp; trembling, uncontrolled motor activity.

  • They lead to dehydration. Many components of energy drinks have diuretic properties, which negatively affects the condition of the kidneys, the body's water-salt balance.

  • Exacerbate the symptoms of diabetes. Although energy drinks in moderate amounts do not cause illness, they do make diabetics worse.

Doctors believe that the systematic use of energy drinks in large quantities can provoke oncology, lead to obesity, blood clots and even cause epilepsy. Although there is no 100% scientific evidence, it is worth abandoning energy drinks so as not to expose yourself to unnecessary risks.
